These are the best — and worst — airlines in the U.S., according to new ranking


An annual ranking of the best and worst airlines in the United States has Delta leading the pack.

The Points Guy‘s third annual list ranked the 10 largest U.S. airlines from best to worst. Criteria included timeliness, comfort, cancellations, pricing, customer satisfaction, lost baggage among others.

“This report directly reflects the changes in the industry and consumer preferences with shake-ups in our top rankings,” said Brian Kelly, The Points Guy CEO and founder.

Delta moved up two spots from last year’s ranking to edge out Alaska Airlines, which led the list for the past two years, and Southwest Airlines, which is the nation’s largest domestic carrier. The ranking cited several factors for Delta’s leapfrogging, including 92.7% of planes arriving on time and the largest network of lounges and cities served.
