The Wrong Embryos

A Queens, New York couple, identified only as Y.Z. and A.P., tried for years to get pregnant before turning to the CHA Fertility Center in Los Angeles. Finally, after a months-long regimen of medicines, vitamins, and procedures, and $100,000 in fees, the treatments yielded eight embryos. While the clinic successfully implanted two of the couple’s female embryos, ultrasound technicians told the couple that A.P. was carrying twin boys. The couple was assured by CHA that the sonograms were wrong and everything was fine, so you can imagine their surprise when A.P. delivered two boys that weren’t theirs or related to one another. To make matters worse, the babies were given to their real parents and now Y.Z. and A.P. are suing CHA
