ROBERT PLANT has confirmed reports that he’ll be playing at the 50th anniversary Woodstock festival this August at Watkins Glen speedway. Plant also performed at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert on Friday night with SHERYL CROW, HEART and others. For Heart, it was the Wilson sisters’ first performance together since they went their separate ways at the end of their 2016 tour. (See Plant perform here, Heart here)

 

ELTON JOHN has announced that his autobiography will be coming out on October 15th. Elton said in a statement, “My life has been one helluva roller coaster ride and it’s still lumbering on. I hope readers will enjoy the ride too.” You can pre-order the book at EltonJohn.com.

 

ALICE COOPER says he’s planning to release an EP later this year and will follow it up with a full album next year. Cooper says, “There’s a certain Detroit sound we’re looking for” and plans to record the music in the Motor City and he said that BOB SEGER will be involved.

 

Ex-JOURNEY frontman STEVE PERRY will be the guest on the season première of The Big Interview with Dan Rather on AXS TV on April 16th. Other guests this season will include FOREIGNER co-founders MICK JONES and LOU GRAMM, CYNDI LAUPER, REO SPEEDWAGON, BOZ SCAGGS and KISS’ PAUL STANLEY. (See Perry clip here)
