Earlier this month, the Richland, Washington Police Department posted on their Facebook page asking the public for their help in finding Anthony Akers. Among those replying to the post was Akers, who told police to “calm down” because he was going to turn himself in. However, when police later followed up, Akers assured them he was just tying up a few loose ends before turning himself in since he knew he’d be behind bars for a couple months. When another 48 hours went by, police posted another message to Akers writing, “Dear Anthony, is it us? The weekend came and went. We are beginning to think you are not coming.” Akers finally turned himself in, but not before posting a photo of the process.
