Dumbasses for Tuesday, February 26th

An 18-year-old senior from Indiana’s Crown Point High School was arrested after school officials found a gun, drug paraphernalia and alcohol in her vehicle. The student is expected to be charged with one felony count in connection with the gun, along with misdemeanor counts for the drug paraphernalia and alcohol. The young lady could’ve avoided all this trouble had she not made an Instagram post suggesting she was in possession of the aforementioned items.

 

Perkins Township, Ohio nail salon owner Dawn Moon is fighting to keep the name of her business. It seems that some people in town, including Zoning Director Megan Shurland, have an issue with the name Hand Jobs Salon. The shop has a large sign with its name above its entrance and officials are looking into whether it could be considered obscene. Dawn says, “If you go in and get your nose done, it’s called a nose job, right? Well, you come in and get your hands done, it’s a hand job!” (See report here)

 

An unnamed driver was pulled over after being clocked doing over 90 mph on California’s Interstate 580 near the Altamont Pass yesterday afternoon. After being ticketed, the driver of the 2014 Nissan Altima continued on their way. However, they didn’t get far, as the driver was pulled over again a short time later after being clocked going 103 mph. The driver was again ticketed and racked up around $1,000 in fines in just 11 minutes.

 

Zephyrhills, Florida’s Wade Smith isn’t one sharp cookie. Police were called to the home Smith shares with his girlfriend on Sunday and he was arrested on domestic battery charges. Smith was arrested after deputies observed a red mark on his girlfriend’s forehead and he admitted to throwing a hard piece of cookie at her. (See mug shot here)
