Company Creates 100-Year Pants

Oddity Central claims the Vollebak clothing company has invented a $645 pair of pants that will last for a century. The three-layer pants are designed to withstand water, abrasions, and fire. The middle layer also expands like an airbag in high temperatures.

Co-founder Nick Tidball says; “Most fire resistant clothing is made from heavy, uncomfortable, chemical laden materials, but this is the world’s first intelligent material than can be comfortably worn every day, then alter its behavior in the face of fire.
