Improbable drew the No. 4 post and was made the 5-2 morning-line favorite during Wednesday’s draw for Saturday’s Preakness at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.

A field of 13 was entered for the $1.65 million, Grade 1 Preakness, with post time set for 6:48 p.m. Saturday and NBC providing TV coverage.

Improbable, trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Mike Smith, is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Kentucky Derby. Baffert is trying to win the Preakness for the eighth time, which would break a tie with Robert Wyndham Walden for the most ever by a trainer.
