FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A bizarre call for deputies leads to a man being arrested and facing almost a dozen charges.
Fayette County deputies picked up Michael McGuire, 31, from Oak Hill Saturday after an incident at a home on Glory Road in Wriston. It happened early Saturday morning.
Deputies say when they responded to a 911 call at the home, they found McGuire holding an axe and a container of gasoline.
Deputies say McGuire set a yard on fire and doused a home in gasoline.
They also say McGuire threw gasoline on a neighbor’s face when he opened his window to see what was happening. The neighbor was treated by EMS at the scene but is ok.
McGuire is facing a long list of charges, including arson, drug, trespassing and brandishing charges.
Deputies say they also found a lighter, syringe and meth on his possession.
McGuire is being held on a 100,000 dollar bond.
