Anti Prostitution Lawmaker Busted Spending Tax Money for Prostitutes

Republican Utah lawmaker Jon Stanard voted last year in favor of a law that made state prostitution laws stricter. Stanard resigned last week after serving five years in the House and may live to regret last year’s vote. While Stanard announced his resignation for “personal and family concerns,” it’s come to light that taxpayer funds were used to pay for at least two hotel rooms he used to meet up with a prostitute last year. Brie Taylor, the rented girlfriend in question, claims that Stanard arranged their liaisons from the phone number listed on his legislative profile.
